2024/2025 Seasons done

A short recap of our 2024/2025 seasons at Ngombe.

With two of the biggest droughts in recent history and some of the toughest fishing the Zambezi river has ever seen as a result, Ngombe still produced some great fish. These seasons were marked by low floods, very low water and baitfish in low numbers. Our guides worked hard to get our guests into fish and it usually paid of.

A highlight was the presence of Zambezi yellowfish in the low condition! A very rare catch indeed!

Guests did well on trawling with some good fish coming to the net with this method, fishing deep running Rapalas.

We had a really positive May-July season for the first time and the fishing was very good, with plenty of smaller fish coming out on every session. This is a season to watch in future as the fishing seams very promising.

we updated our rooms and added two new on suite bathrooms to our back rooms.

Two tough seasons on the mighty Zambezi with a mixed bag of results, we are looking forward to the 2026 season, hopefully the rain will come!
